In the two most recent Alberta Express Entry draws, the province has invited applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System score of 300. In this first draw was held on 22 January 2020 in this draw Alberta PNP issued 201 invitations to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 350 for an Alberta provincial nomination. In the second Alberta Express Entry draw that conducted after one week on 29 January 2020, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (A.I.N.P) issued 150 invitations to candidates with the CRS score of 300.

Through this Stream, the province chooses qualified candidates from the Canadian Express Entry pool to apply for an Alberta provincial nomination. The applicants who receive an Alberta provincial nomination will have 600 extra CRS score points that attached to their cumulative CRS score. It guarantees them with an invitation to apply for Canada PR in the following federal Express Entry draw.

One of the important advantages for Express Entry applicants below the Alberta Express Entry Stream is that even though they have a low CRS score they may have the chance to apply for Canada PR. Take the example of the most recent federal Express Entry draw that conducted on February 5, where the required minimum CRS score to qualify was 472 points. But Alberta admitted applicants with CRS score 300 in its most recent Express Entry draw.

To be qualified to apply for an Alberta provincial nomination below the Alberta Express Entry Stream, the applicant must have relevant work experience in a profession that supports the economic growth and diversification preferences of Alberta. However, Alberta province does not have a list of eligible professions. 

Including the most recent two draws, the entire number of applicants invited by the Alberta Express Entry Stream in January 2020 alone has reached 501.
