Manitoba's Expression of Interest

Those immigration applicants who intend to be nominated by Manitoba PNP below the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Category or the Skilled Workers Overseas Category require to submit an E.O.I to the Manitoba PNP. Depends on the information presented in the EoI, each applicant is evaluated on various human capital parameters such as education, age, work experience, language ability, previous links to the province etc., and given a score out of 1000 points.

The highest scoring applicants are declared with Letters of Advice to Apply through the MPNP. The minimum scores required for candidates in these two categories as follows:

  • Skilled Workers Overseas requires 611 points
  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba requires 525 points

Manitoba's Immigration Categories

By the Skilled Worker Overseas category, Manitoba nominates international workers who are competent in supporting Manitoba’s labour market for Canada PR. To be qualified below this category, the candidate must show a previous link to Manitoba province in the form of close relatives or friends living here, education, work experience or an ITA from MPNP through one of the Manitoba's Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. However, they don't need to be present in Manitoba at the time of applying. The 27 candidates who got invitations in the 13 February draw had been invited straight under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

To be eligible below the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category, the applicant needs to be working in Manitoba at the time of applying. They need to have a full-time and permanent employment offer besides satisfying other criteria.

Manitoba issues invitations to graduates with in-demand skills to apply for a Manitoba provincial nomination by the International Education Category.
